I love baking hot cross buns from scratch but there are times, with three young children and a salt business to run, that I find I just don't have the time. However, jazzing up shop bought hot cross buns will get you deliciously salty, warm hot cross buns, with just a fraction of the trouble.

INGREDIENTS

A packet of shop bought hot cross buns
Marmalade
Tasman Sea Salt Smoked Salt

METHOD

Heat your oven to 175C

Place the hot cross buns on a baking tray.

Mix a few tablespoons of marmalade with warm water to create a glaze and brush onto the buns.

Warm in the oven for approximately 10 minutes then remove, sprinkle with Tasman Sea Salt Smoked Salt.

Lather with butter and luxuriate in the hot, salty joy of them!
